Before you start
- Charge the device with the included USB-C cable.
- Choose a Mason jar and a lid suited to vacuum sealing.
- Use the adapter that matches your jar: regular mouth or wide mouth.
- Check that the jar rim is clean and dry.

Seal in three steps
01Place and close
Put your food in a compatible Mason jar, fit the lid and place MasonVac on top.
02Press the button
Wait 30 to 60 seconds. Your jar is now sealed.
03Store
In the fridge, pantry or as suits the food.
Removing the device from the jar
Once the device stops, sealing is done. Simply lift MasonVac straight up off the lid — the lid stays sealed on the jar. To open the jar later, lift the edge of the lid with the included jar opener.

Regular or wide mouth?
Regular-mouth jar
The smaller of the two adapters — its rim drops just inside the narrower opening. If it rocks or won’t sit flat, use the other one.
Wide-mouth jar
The larger of the two adapters — its rim drops just inside the wider opening. If it rocks or won’t sit flat, use the other one.

Good habits

Tip
- Centre the lid and position MasonVac correctly before starting.
- For liquids, do not fill the jar to the brim.
- Check that the lid holds firmly after use.
Important
MasonVac does not replace freezing or hot-water canning. Keep foods that need it in the fridge or freezer.
Not creating a vacuum?
Check that the jar rim is clean, the lid is centred and MasonVac sits correctly on the jar. If the problem continues, email bonjour@masonvac.ca or submit a warranty request.
